Make payments with PayPal - it's fast, free and secure!

The Industrial Railway Society can now accept payment by credit card via the PayPal method. PayPal is an American system that allows the easy transfer of funds via the Internet, which has now been extended the many other countries.

Important: The IRS can only accept credit card payments via PayPal. DO NOT send your credit card details via post or email, as we cannot accept such payments.

Do you want to use this system to place an order with the IRS? For this you will need one of the major credit cards and a PayPal account.

If you don't already have an account, go to the PayPal website and sign up for a "Personal Account". There you will also find details of how the system works.

Once you have a PayPal account, go to their website and Log-In. Click on the "Send Money" tab and you will get the following screen:-

Fill in the fields as follows:-

To:  treasurer@irsociety.co.uk

Amount:  Total cost of your order - all prices on our website are quoted in British pounds.

Purchase:  Goods

Click on the "Continue" button and, when the next page appears, go to the bottom of the page:-

Fill in the two boxes as follows:-

Subject:  IRS order

Message:  The contents of this field constitutes your order, so please fill it in carefully with the details of your order, and the price of each item.
You can also pay for IRS subscriptions on the same order. State clearly which sort of subscription you require - "Full", "Bulletin Only" or "Record Only" - and whether it is to be for 1 or 2 years.

Once you have filled in the form, click on the "Send Money" button. The money will be transferred to the IRS PayPal account and the Society's treasurer will receive an email informing him of the transfer and including the contents of the "Message" box. He will then see that your order is passed on to the correct Society department(s).

Please contact the Society Treasurer if you have any queries about the PayPal system or orders sent this way.
